Is that true, for people with schizoprenia and better IQ, they have better outcome?

Yes, that's actually true of most psychological disorders. Higher IQ = better functioning.

However, we usually see that individuals with schizophrenia show lower IQ scores as the illness progresses in those with chronic symptoms. Schizophrenia is associated with a number of cognitive difficulties. Most don't have a very high IQ. The exception is those with only or primarily paranoid symptoms (delusions and hallucinations) and don't have negative and disorganization symptoms. These individuals usually show a more episodic course, do better cognitively, and have a more favorable prognosis. Is that true, for people with schizoprenia and better IQ, they have better outcome?
