What do you think has more bearing on two people developing a long-term relationship? Proximity, or similarity of interests? I already know the answer because I stated this question is based on the outcome of many studies. However, I was I curious to know which one you'd pick.According to the Outcome of Studies, Which Do You Think Is True?
Historically it was based upon propinquity. Today, as a result of transportation, it is more likely based upon interests, i.e., ';love.';According to the Outcome of Studies, Which Do You Think Is True?
If the studies were based on these two things alone, it was a poor study, for the following reasons.


1} Similarity of interests; is not the best bases for forming a long-term relationship, since the dynamics can be many and varied in relationships.


2} Proximity; is hardly a bases for a long-term relationship either, since I could be near too someone at a bus stop, in a certain place at a certain time, et-cetera, et-cetera, but it will not follow that a relationship will develop from this 'nearness, this 'proximity of time and place.'


However, if I have to choice between the two, logic says it must be 'proximity,' because one has to be close to someone before they can share any 'similarity of interests,' to begin with.

I don't really get your intention. Do you want to discuss the studies' results? Then please state which studies you're talking about. Do you want to just get opinions? Then why say that there is a ';right'; and a ';wrong'; answer....?
